Women’s Fellowship

“A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Proverbs 31:30-31

The Women’s Fellowship meets on all first and third Sundays of the month after the church service. It gathers for a time of chorus singing, Bible study and prayer. Members also share witnesses and spiritual learning as led by the Lord at times. The members’ thrust is on prayer and service to the elderly women and children. It visits elderly persons among the parishioners. It also visits institutions which house the elderly, destitute and mentally ill women such as Mahimai Illam and Rehoboth. During such visits gifts and provisions that are collected from the congregation are meticulously distributed. Annual retreat on the biblical approach to any key women-related issue is held. Prayer chains and group prayer greatly strengthen and support the church. The members of the women’s fellowship also participate in the church programs such as the harvest festival and organize breakfast sales for raising funds. Every quarter the fellowship conducts an evening service in our Church. It seeks to be empowered and to empower women in the Lord through its involvement and service to society.
